this week in five.
1. breathtaking skies.
Is it a thing that the colder it gets, the more beautiful the sky becomes? Well if it isn't, then maybe I'm just noticing it more. Taking a leisurely stroll around Central Park in the afternoon really helps one appreciate.
2. paper snowflakes.
So my lovely friend Emma is visiting from Australia this month, and we maybe got a little obsessed with making paper snowflakes. You can go cray with the patterns, it's so much fun! Head over to martha stewart to learn how to make them, and then let your creative juices flow (don't forget to stick them up absolutely everywhere when you're done.)
3. steamy pretzels.
While Emma's visiting, I get to do all those tourist type activities that you never get around to when you live here. Eating pretzels on 5th avenue is definitely one of those things. Hot, salty, bread-y goodness on a cold day? That is living.
4. the gugg.
I have always loved the guggenheim, I can never decide if it's just the building, or the fascinating exhibitions (or the be-yond restaurant) that excites me most about the place. At the moment there are two exhibitions that I loved. The black and white Picasso one is obviously amazing, but the Orozco one on the top floor made me swoon.
5. to-dos.
It seems like I just finished midterms and I'm heading straight into finals already. (I complain, but in reality this is sooooooo much easier than high school.) My life right now is list making. Counting down the days until winter break, though– only three weeks!
